The Class of 2009 is complete and all committed !

Alex Gbur's commitment this week to Baldwin-Wallace College has rounded out the class of 2009 for college commitments in our club program. This season we say good bye and good luck to 19 Seniors from Premier, M-Juniors and Excel heading off to play college volleyball in 10 different states! We want to thank them all for their hard work while they trained with our organization for so many years. We are looking for much success on the collegiate scene from this talented class and we will certainly be following them over the next four years. Good bye and good luck from your staff at Premier Academy!

"Even when you've played the game of your life, it's the feeling of teamwork that you'll remember. You'll forget the plays, the shots, and the scores, but you'll never forget your teammates."

Jodi, Rocky, Josh, Steph, & Bryan

 Defensive players recognized by PrepVolleyball!

This is Part II of our Defensive Dandies recognition, which we call "Dandy Lions." The players on this list are all-around high school or club talents who project as back row animals at the next level.

Ashley Dunn, Jr., Bowling Green (OH) – An All-Region OH in high school, Dunn has accumulated 744 digs, 810 kills and 76 aces over her three-year prep career. She is a club libero for Premier 18-1. Dunn comes from a family of athletes, including a sister who currently is a Division I libero. "Ashley has extremely quick feet and is very aggressive on defense,” said Premier director Jodi Schramm. “She certainly brings personality to the court, which is what liberos should do, so she fits this role very well for club and eventually college.”

Jordan Kielty, Jr., Canton (MI) – Third team All State as an outside hitter, Kielty also hits for her club team but will probably be a libero for a major Division I program. “Jordan Kielty is bar none of the best primary passers that I have seen in a long time,” said Premier coach Jodi Schramm. “I think this kid is going to take a program to another level in ball control in college. I can't say enough about her technical skills in defense and passing that make her a prime libero prospect.

Congratulations to Marissa Tashenberg and Isolde Hannan!

We would like to extend our congratulations to Marissa Tashenberg and Isolde Hannan, two of the Premier 17-1 team members, for making the roster for the 2009 Ohio Valley Region Youth High Performance Team. Training camp will be held at the University of Toledo and the team will compete in the High Performance Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from July 16-26.
