last month with the purpose of featuring our over-all training program in their annual Summer Edition. The feature is currently on their website and also

Congratulations to the Premier 17 Onitsuka Team!

Congratulations to the Premier 17 Onitsuka Team for finishing in 2nd place and bringing home the silver medal from AAU
Nationals! The Onitsuka team was seeded 89th in a field of 144 teams and fought hard throughout the entire event, posting a
13-2 match record, but eventually fell to Northern Lights in the championship match. We are very proud of the accomplishments
of this team and we look forward to what the future may bring.
Congratulations to the four players recognized as 2011 All-Americans: Maggie Halloran, Alaina Turner, Kelsey Lahey, and Tara Heald.

Kelsey Lahey Commits to Marist College!
Kelsey Lahey, an outside hitter on the Premier Onitsuka team, has verbally committed to Marist College for
the fall of 2012. Marist is a division I program, located in Poughkeepsie, NY and competes in the MAAC.
In the fall seasons, Kelsey competes for Bowling Green High School in Ohio, where she has garnered All-league,
All-County, and All-region honors. Kelsey plans to put her scholarship to good use while she majors in Fashion Business.
Brooke Tiller Commits to Saginaw Valley State University!
Brooke Tiller, a libero on the 17 Onitsuka team, has verbally committed to Saginaw Valley State University
for the fall of 2012. Saginaw is a division II program, located in University Center, Michigan, and competes in the
very strong GLIAC conference. Brooke competes for Maumee High School in the fall seasons, where she compiled
All-league and All-district honors all three years since entering high school. Brooke plans to put her scholarship
to good use and major in Graphic Art at SVSU.

Congratulations to the following players who will be participating in the 2011 USAV High Performance Program.
Rayna Yetts, an 8th grader at Frost Junior High School, was selected to be a setter for the 2011 A2 Girl’s Future Select High Performance Team.
This team will train for 5 days at the Olympic training center located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Graesyn Pawlek, a 10th grader at Perrysburg High School, was selected to be a libero for the 2011 Ohio Valley Region Select High Performance
Team. This team will train for 5 days and then compete in the USA High Performance Championships located in Tucson, Arizona from
July 26 July 30, 2011.
Jane Emmenecker, a 10th grader at Toledo Central Catholic High School, was selected to be a setter for the 2011 Ohio Valley Region Select
High Performance Team. This team will train for 5 days and then compete in the USA High Performance Championships located in Tucson,
Arizona from July 26 July 30, 2011.

Katie Horton Commits to Ohio University!
Katie Horton, an outside hitter on the 17 Onitsuka team, has verbally committed to Ohio University for the fall of 2013. Ohio University is a
top division I program, located in Athens, Ohio, and competes in the Mid-American Conference. Ohio currently holds the title of reigning
MAC champions, claiming the title six times, while also advancing to the NCAA tournament seven consecutive years. Katie competes for Wayne
Memorial High School in Michigan during the fall seasons.
Courtney Scott Commits to Northwood University!
Courtney Scott, a middle hitter on the 17 Nimbus team, has verbally committed to Northwood University for the fall of 2012. Northwood is a division II
program, located in Midland, Michigan and competes in the ever so strong GLIAC. Courtney is a 4.0 student who competes for Walled Lake Northern High
School in Michigan during the fall seasons. Courtney will join club-mate and current senior, Erin Hoomaian, along with 2010 alums Ally Hoomaian and
Jordan Dunn, when she gets to Northwood.
Nicole Morgan Commits to Siena Heights University!
Nicole Morgan, an outside hitter/DS on the 18 Aztek team, has verbally committed to Siena Heights University for the fall of 2012. Siena Heights is a
NAIA program, located in Adrian, Michigan and competes in the WHAC. Nicole competes for Walled Lake Western High School in Michigan during the fall
seasons. Nicole will join club-mate and current senior, Haley Baker, along with 2010 alum Kate Blankerts, when she gets to Siena Heights to play for
Coach Mike Watkins.

Annie and Abbie Reihm commit to Jackson Community College!
Annie and Abbie Reihm, who play setter and outside hitter for 18 Enduro, have both committed to Jackson Community College for this
coming 2011 fall season. Jackson Community College is located in Jackson Michigan and competing as an NJCAA division II program. Both
Annie and Abbie competed for Rossford High School in Ohio during the fall seasons gaining all-league honors.
Jillian Sommerville Commits to Hope College!
Jillian Sommerville, a middle hitter on 18 Aztek, has committed to play volleyball at Hope College for this coming 2011 fall season. Hope
College is a top division III program, located in Holland, Michigan, and competes in the MIAA. Hope advanced to the semi-finals of the
NCAA tournament in 2010, finishing 3rd in the country in division III. Jillian competed for Salem High School in Michigan during the
fall seasons where she garnered all-league and all-region honors.

Alyssa Beach, 6-2 MB, Notre Dame (Toledo, Ohio) – A blocking machine for Notre Dame in 2010. Has made her presence known this club season.
Katie Horton, 6-1 OH, Wayne Memorial (Wayne, Michigan) – Once an elite soccer player, Horton has unlimited potential in volleyball as a pure natural athlete. She helped Wayne to some good wins in 2010 and could evolve into a top recruit in the Class of 2013.
Sarah Sikula, 5-10 MB, Bowling Green (Ohio) – Sikula has helped lead her school to Northern Lakes League titles each of the last two years. She amassed 132 kills, 26 blocks and 48 digs in 2010. “Sarah will more than likely be a top recruit for many colleges in Ohio in the years ahead,” said Bowling Green High School head coach Deb Mathias.
